Ready for the antics of the broads abroad?

The ‘Real Housewives‘ franchise is branching out again–this time with an international twist.

‘The Real Housewives of Athens’ is currently filming in Greece, says the New York Post, and is expected to premiere this fall.

Inspired by the trash-tastic adventures of the rich and ridiculous ‘Housewives’ of Bravo’s hit reality shows, this version will follow the affluent lives of a pack of Greek goddesses.

There are also plans to film editions for France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia and Israel, which have already been optioned, according to the Post.

Additional stateside spawns of the reality show include ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ and ‘The Real Housewives of D.C.,’ set for premieres later this year.

What do you think about the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise going global?
