After four years, lots of black mascara tears, screaming matches and broken relationships, ‘The Hills‘ bid adieu Tuesday night for good at a poolside, fan-filled party at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles.
Though rumored to not be showing up, Lauren Conrad – whose journey from a Laguna Beach teen to a Hollywood fashion designer was the subject of the MTV show – proved to be the bell of the ball with teary-eyed goodbyes and giggle-filled recollections of the reality show.
“I watched the final episode and I really liked how it ended and that was kind of like when the show was done for me,” LC told reporters backstage during the party. “I got to say goodbye a year ago to everybody but never really to fans, so this is kind of a nice opportunity and it’s cool to be included.”
LC, who didn’t watch this past final season that she opted out of, said, looking back, she has no regrets. “I’m happy about when I left. I think it was the right time for me. And, I mean, I probably have a million regrets about stuff I did on the show, but it’s all little stuff.”
Watch a Clip from the Series Finale:
Like what, LC? When asked about one of her more popular lines – when she called Spencer Pratt a “sucky person,” she laughed and said, “You know what? That’s so lame because I didn’t want to cuss on camera so ‘sucky’ was the first word that came into my head and it followed me. And every once in a while I’ll just stop and [think] ‘sucky?’ Like who says that? It was cool when you were in like fifth grade.”
Speaking of Pratt, he and Heidi Montag were persona non grata at the party. But we thought maybe LC might feel a little sad that her former BFF wasn’t partaking in the series’ finale event. “Not for me to be perfectly honestly,” she laughed. “I think that was the network’s decision.”
So what does life after ‘The Hills’ look like for everyone? We have a wannabe TV producer. I wannabe lifestyle coach guru. A girl who hasn’t a clue, and more when we talked with the rest of the gang.
