One socialite is no longer a menace to ‘Society.’

In the ‘Who Cares?’ department of TV news, The New York Post is reporting that The CW has canceled ‘High Society‘ after one season.

An insider’s look at the VIPs-and-velvet ropes crowd, the reality show followed the exploits of New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer, who was reportedly unhappy with how her relationship with “arch-enemy” Devorah Rose was portrayed on the show.

“Tinsley was told she would have some editorial control, but she was horrified to find she had none and was being put in situations where people were manipulated to act in a certain way. She wasn’t happy with the way it came out,” an insider tells Page Six.

Mortimer’s complaints about the editing is allegedly one factor in the show getting canned, according to the Post, but it probably has a lot more to do with pathetically poor ratings for the ‘Park Avenue Princess’ (the series had dropped to less than one million viewers in its last outing).

A rep for the network, however, claims “no decision has been made” yet on the future of the show.
