Ice Road Truckers‘ babe Lisa Kelly has found that being the only woman in a reality series about a male-dominated profession is a good way to get noticed. So is posing for a glamorous photo shoot in an evening gown with a big rig.

Kelly, 28, got dolled up for a recent Esquire photo shoot, and it wasn’t a stunt you’d want to see the folks from, say, ‘Operation Repo’ pull.

“That was fun, but it was very cold out,” Kelly told the New York Post of her photo shoot.

From a satellite phone in the Himalayas, where she was filming the next season of History Channel’s hit show, Kelly talked with Esquire about her unusual career choice. “It seemed obvious to me. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. I had gone to college and I liked school. I started delivering pizza and I decided I liked being out of the building, so I started driving a school bus to get my licensing.”

‘Ice Road Truckers’ the Movie?

Of driving in India, Kelly said: “It was just a cliffside; we have mountain driving here, but not a little road that goes higher and higher. And the trucks [in India] are different,” she told the Post. “They’re not as big and not very powerful at all, which added to the danger factor. We had an Indian spotter with us for safety’s sake and he ended up being more of a pain than a help — he was confusing me on the rules and making stuff up as we went along.”

“It’s kind of like the U.S. with no rules and lots of dirt.”

But ‘Dirt Road Truckers’ doesn’t exactly have the same ring to it.

‘Ice Road Truckers’ airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m./EST on the History Channel.
