Don’t believe everything you read on the internet, at least not when it comes to Anderson Cooper and uneasy feelings at CNN. At least, that’s what the famed news anchor told his ‘Anderson Cooper 360‘ staff after a titillating story ran on TheWrap.com.

“I just want you to know I am very happy at CNN, have no plans to leave, and am not in conflict with anyone,” Cooper wrote in an email that TVNewser picked up.

The “gossip” in question had to do with talk of Cooper feeling frustrated by his show’s ratings and internal jealously amongst fellow CNN anchors over the star treatment Cooper receives.

“I am really proud of the work all of us are doing here in the Gulf, and all the other stuff just seems like silly gossip and sour grapes,” Cooper added.

As for the seriousness of Cooper’s email, TheWrap.com has a rather skeptical attitude, reminding its readers that the email comes from the network that denied its other star, Larry King, was retiring from his show.
