The fall TV season, which just a moment ago seemed so far away, is inching just a bit closer, now that season premiere dates for two CBS megahits and the full CW roster have trickled out.
‘NCIS‘ – TV’s most watched scripted series – is due to return Tuesday, September 21, it was revealed on Twitter by the (unofficial) fan account Team NCIS. Turning to one of the tube’s highest rated comedies, ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ will debut in its brand-new time slot on Thursday, September 23, series co-creator Bill Prady tweeted.
A CBS rep, it should be noted, says that no premiere dates have officially been set by the network.
The CW instead is the first outlet to formally unfurl its full fall plan, and it kicks off Wednesday, September 8 with the premiere of ‘America’s Next Top Model.’ That will be followed at 9/8c by the debut of ‘Hellcats,’ a competitive cheerleading drama starring Aly Michalka and exec-produced by ‘Smallville‘s own Tom Welling.
The remainder of The CW’s schedule looks like this:
Thursday, Sept. 9
8pm ‘The Vampire Diaries‘
9pm ‘Nikita‘ (new series)
Monday, Sept. 13
8pm ‘90210‘ (new day)
