TOP PICK:Rescue Me‘ (10pm on FX)

The heat is on as Tommy Gavin and the boys are back for an all-new season. Truly one of the summer’s best shows, look for Peter Gallagher to turn up in a few episodes as a priest, but in the meantime the focus is on Mr. Gavin – which we have no problems with.

A terrifying vision of the afterlife leaves Tommy shaken as he attempts to reconnect with his friends and family back on the outside. At the firehouse, the crew’s fate hangs in the balance when the department decides to cut costs.

KEY EPISODE:Pretty Little Liars‘ (8pm on ABC Family)

This show is red hot, as evidenced by ABC Family’s decision to order 12 more episodes. It is now Tuesday’s No. 1 series among female teens and is pulling in on average 2.7 million viewers overall.

Tired of being harassed by “A,” the girls decide to put a stop to the anonymous emails and text messages by blocking all unknown users. But even with the mysterious ghost no longer looming over their heads, the girls’ problems are far from over.

WATCH:Louie‘ (11pm on FX)

The single-camera comedy is a mix of Louis C.K.’s stand-up comedy and scripted stories. Guest starring appearances include Ricky Gervais, Pamela Adlon and Bobby Cannavale.

‘Louie’ is a brand-new comedy filtered through the observational humor of Louis C.K. Each episode puts a spotlight on Louis’ hectic life as a successful stand-up comedian and newly single father raising his two daughters in New York. Tonight is the series premiere.
