That Betty White is a force to be reckoned with. The latest evidence: The ‘Golden’ girl’s new sitcom, ‘Hot In Cleveland,’ premiered on Wednesday night to 4.75 million total viewers, making it the most watched telecast in TV Land history.

The cabler also enjoyed significant triple digit gains across all demos for the night, including a 1.9 rating in its target Adults 25-54 audience.

‘Hot In Cleveland,’ which also stars Valerie Bertinelli (‘One Day At a Time’), Jane Leeves (‘Frasier’) and Wendie Malick (‘Just Shoot Me’), represents TV Land’s first-ever foray into original scripted programming. Dare I say, they just might think about ordering up a second series, maybe one fronted by Abe Vigoda?
