Eddie Cibrian will not be a part of the cast when ‘CSI: Miami‘ premieres its next season.

Cibrian joined up with the CBS procedural last fall, playing Jesse Cardoza. The new character was added to help fill the void left by Adam Rodriguez, who had gone off-contract with the series.

Rodriguez Announces Full-Time Return to ‘CSI: Miami’

But with Rodriguez returning to full-time status, producers decided to release Cibrian and refocus on the long-running members of Horatio’s team.

How will Cibrian’s character be written off the show? Well… (spoiler alert)… a source tells E! Online that Cardoza will be killed off, not to be seen again.

What’s your reaction to the news, ‘CSI’ fans? Had you not really warmed to Cardoza anyway?
