The Season 3 premiere of ‘True Blood’ on Sunday night drew 5.1 million total viewers. That represents a 38 percent increase from the HBO series’ previous opener, says the Hollywood Reporter.
That audience also marks a 216 percent increase from the show’s September 2008 debut.
If you count those who caught HBO’s 11 pm replay of the premiere, ‘True Blood’ tallied 6.4 million viewers – a total just shy of the series’ all-time high of 6.6 mil. And mind you, ‘True Blood’ tends to only gain steam as the steaminess piles on throughout the season.
