Emmy-nominated ‘Hill Street Blues‘ alum Joe Spano is going from collaring cons to donning a collar, playing a priest on USA Network’s ‘In Plain Sight.’

In the June 30 episode of the USA Network series, Spano will guest-star as Father Gabriel Andrews, who after witnessing the murder of a parishoner’s daughter agrees to enter WitSec – even if it means giving up his higher calling.

Once Mary relocates Gabe, he enters a somewhat unexpected line of work – one that ultimately could bring his way the same sort of danger he is trying to escape, says a rep for USA and UCP (Universal Cable Productions).
