Well, this is TNT’s story: The cable network has no designs on picking up NBC’s unceremoniously discarded ‘Law & Order.’

Not long after NBC confirmed that it would not be renewing the long-running series for a record-breaking 21st season, buzz swirled that the ‘Law & Order’ mothership might land elsewhere.

TNT was atop the list of possibilities, if only because it is no stranger to ‘Law & Order’ reruns, plus the network also plucked ‘Southland’ – another NBC castoff – out of the ashes.

Could the veteran procedural turn up somewhere else? Frankly, the chun-chances! are looking slim to none.
