Conan O’Brien, who is going to have his own late night talk show on TBS starting in the fall, is getting a jump on things at his new network home. O’Brien, his longtime sidekick Andy Richter, plus Reggie Watts and several of his staff writers have signed up for a one-hour special, ‘Team Coco presents Conan’s Writers Live.’ The live comedy stage show, which O’Brien has been performing to sold-out crowds since mid April as The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour, will tape at Chicago’s Bank of America Theater on Thursday, June 17, and premiere on TBS Sunday, June 27, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). O’Brien has chronicled his tour on his website, providing videos, jokes, and updates via Twitter. Today, for example: BP’s attempt to cap the oil gusher with mud and cement will be televised. Finally, something to fill the void left by “Lost” and “24″. OK, it’s funny – and so is Conan. But can you see yourself watching him when he starts his new gig on TBS? Were you on Team Coco? Team Jay? Or are you too busy catching up on shows you DVR’d earlier to care about late night TV?
