Simon Monjack, the husband of actress Brittany Murphy, was found dead Sunday night, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Monjack, 39, died at his home in the Hollywood Hills, just five months after the death of his wife. The cause of death is unknown at this time. An investigation is under way.

Murphy, 32, died Dec. 20 of pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple drug intoxication, coroner’s officials said, adding the actress went into sudden cardiac arrest because of “drug intake.”

Monjack, a screenwriter, and Murphy, the costar of such films as ‘Clueless’ and ’8 Mile,’ married in May 2007.
