Just days after CBS officially revealed a 2010-11 lineup that had given up the ‘Ghost,’ the drama series is getting a long, hard look-see by ABC, whose ABC Studios has a stake in the show. In fact, Deadline.com says that the series’ writer-producers have been asked not to hunt down new jobs yet.

ABC, which announced its own fall schedule on Tuesday, has not locked into anything, but a source tells Fancast that the talks are ongoing and a decision could come as early as next week.

ABC by several accounts also is considering giving CBS’ ‘Old Christine’ a new home, though the likelihood of that switcheroo is slimmer than ‘Ghost Whisperer’s.
