Just in case the world didn’t get enough of internet sensation Susan Boyle, the frumpy Brit that skyrocketed to fame following a rousing performance on ‘Britain’s Got Talent,’ Fox’s ‘Glee‘ is hoping to land the singer as a guest star.
Boyle, who is coincidentally signed to the same record label as ‘Glee,’ hasn’t accepted the offer yet, but co-creator Ryan Murphy says the idea has been pitched, according to EW.com.
“I have two words for you: Lunch. Lady,” said Murphy. “I think Kurt (Chris Colfer) would just die to give her a Christmas makeover. I don’t event now if she’s interested but it’s been pitched.”
Someone who had been interested in the lunch lady role is none other than Jennifer Lopez — the singer recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she and Murphy had discussed joining ‘Glee’ as the exact same character now linked to Boyle.
No word as to why Lopez got dropped from the conversation, but perhaps Boyle’s viral power swayed Murphy — her ‘Talent’ audition video has been viewed more than 347 million times.
Should Boyle come through, her ‘Glee’ appearance would take place during a Christmas-themed episode next season.
