Megan Fox Fired From ‘Transformers 3′

Looks like all of Megan Fox’s trash talk about Michael Bay has cost her a lucrative gig in the upcoming Transformers 3. Word on the street is that Paramount will not be exercising her contract option to appear in the sequel, opening the door for a new ridiculously hot female co-star to step into the role of Shia LaBeouf’s love interest. You may recall that Fox has been outspoken in her distaste for working for Bay, saying he tries to “create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for.” This prompted some members of Bay’s crew to write an anonymous letter trashing her as the problem instead, which in turn prompted another anonymous P.A. to come to her defense.

Publicly, Bay had laughed off the comments, even the ones comparing him to Hitler, although when announcing the start of Transformers 3, he included a sarcastic post-script directed at her, saying “P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.”

In a recent issue of Allure magazine, Fox was still complaining about Bay, claiming “I had been tanning a lot so that Michael would be happy with my skin tone. Every spare moment of sun that was outside, I had to be in it. It’s not going to happen again because of the damage and the possible skin cancer.” Maybe implying that Bay was trying to give her cancer was the last straw.

So now, Bay gets to save money on his new movie by plucking another vixen from obscurity for the next giant robot movie rather than paying Fox’s salary, and Fox is left to wonder if honesty truly is the best policy. Then again, maybe she got what she wanted all along. Even before the second film was made, she said “I booked Transformers having no clue what I was doing,” and that “it’s not a movie I want to stand on as far as acting ability goes.” Now she’s free to build a career outside of the critically-reviled blockbuster franchise. She’ll just need to hope that the whole Jennifer’s Body fiasco isn’t going to be as far as it goes.

See Megan Fox in next month’s Jonah Hex, and expect to hear plenty more about Bay when the press tour for that film starts up. No doubt she’ll either have a lot to say, or nothing more to say ever about anybody in fear of losing money. Stay tuned.
