If you’re a CBS show and you’re not a ‘CSI’ or ‘NCIS,’ or if Chuck Lorre has never glanced in your general direction, Tuesday morning was likely rough for you.

On the eve of unveiling its schedule for the 2010-11 TV season, the most-watched network severed ties with a full seven shows, including Friday mainstays ‘Ghost Whisperer‘ and ‘Numb3rs,’ and the comedy ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine.’

Also getting the hook, according to multiple sources, are ‘Cold Case‘ and ‘Gary Unmarried‘ and the freshman series ‘Accidentally On Purpose‘ and ‘Miami Medical.’

Fans of Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus‘ ‘Christine’ have one possible lifeline: EW.com and Deadline.com both report that there’s a “50/50 chance” of ABC picking up the decently-performing Warner Bros. TV comedy.

And for what it’s worth, ‘Ghost Whisperer’ J.Love should be a lock to quickly land a new series – ideally a non-brooding comedy – based on her winning cameo, as herself, in the new NBC comedy ‘Love Bites.’

Among the “bubble” show renewals expected to be announced by CBS on Wednesday are ‘Medium‘ (which it picked up from NBC a year ago) and ‘Rules of Engagement.’
