Lost‘ star Matthew Fox was the guest on Monday night’s ‘Late Show with David Letterman,’ where he was grilled on how the heck the show is going to end when the addictive mystery drama concludes later this week.

Letterman insists that the only way ‘Lost’ will ever make sense to anyone is if it’s all a dream, a theory mocked by Fox’s costar Evangeline Lilly when she visited Dave last week.

“It’s not gonna be that,” Fox laughs, when Dave suggests Jack “wakes up in Cincinnati.”

Letterman then accuses the star of not actually knowing ‘The End,’ to which Fox insists, “I do know, I shot the whole thing!”

Then he “gives in” and credits Letterman with figuring it all out: “You might be the only person in the world who nailed it on the head.”
