Will Arnett and Keri Russell star in Fox's new fall comedy, 'Running Wilde.' (Fox)
Fox’s schedule for the 2010-11 TV season seems comfortably familiar (e.g. ‘Bones‘ and ‘Fringe‘ are staying put on Thursdays), but it’s not without its flourishes of fresh fare and a new time slot or two for fan faves – ‘Glee‘ included.
Fox Chairman Acknowledges ‘Idol’s in Trouble
A few of the initial changes for ‘Idol’ include expanding the performance show to 90 minutes and reducing the results show to 30 minutes and moving it to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Among the new series coming our way: ‘Lonestar‘ (starring newcomer James Wolk), which Fox execs fancy as a “very cool… modern-day ‘Dallas‘ (though featuring a polygamist protagonist!) and three live-action comedies.
Midseason launches include ‘Ride-Along,’ a new Chicago-based cop drama from ‘The Shield‘s Shawn Ryan, and ’Terra Nova,’ a Steven Spielberg-produced series in which a family travels back in time – to the dinosaur era – to try to save the future of mankind.
A note to Gleeks: A special episode of ‘Glee’ is set to air following Super Bowl XLV, Sunday, February 6, 2011.
MONDAY

9:00-10:00 PM LONESTAR (new)
What’s New: ‘Lonestar,’ set against the sprawling backdrop of big Texas oil, focuses on Robert/Bob Allen (played by newcomer James Wolk), a charismatic and brilliant schemer who has entangled himself in a deep, complex web from which he can’t break free.
