The first wave of CBS’ fall TV assault has been revealed, and it’s heavy on law, order and hotties. And Jim Belushi.
The network has picked up as many as six new series so far, including the much-hyped remake of the seventies cop classic ‘Hawaii Five-O,’ starring Alex O’Loughlin as your Steve McGarrett, Daniel Dae Kim as your Chin Ho Kelly and Scott Caan as your Danno.
CBS is also making ‘Jesse Stone’ fans happy by bringing TV fave Tom Selleck back to television on a weekly basis in the family cop show ‘Blue Bloods’ (formerly known as ‘Reagan’s Law’).
The network has also added to the schedule the Forest Whitaker-fronted ‘Criminal Minds’ spin-off and a legal drama called ‘Defenders’ starring Jim Belushi.
Also added to the fall 2010 line-up: the Twitter sitcom ‘Bleep My Dad Says’ starring William Shatner and the new comedy ‘Mike & Molly’ from ‘Two and a Half Men‘ exec producer Chuck Lorre.
Now for the bad news: CBS announced the fates of veteran series such the already in doubt ‘Cold Case,’ ‘Numbers,’ ‘Medium,’ and more. The CBS primetime massacre is listed below.
