Alec Baldwin hosted ‘Saturday Night Live‘ this weekend for a record 15th time. The 35th season finale also featured Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as musical guests.

The ‘30 Rock‘ star now ties his Oscars co-host Steve Martin for most ‘SNL’ hosting gigs, which also puts him “14 shows ahead of Betty White,” Baldwin said in his opening monologue.

Carrying over the on-going ‘rivalry’ from their Oscars gag, Baldwin called the competition between the two comedians rubbish, and when Martin appeared ‘via satellite’ to congratulate his friend on tying his record, Baldwin promptly cut him off.

While addressing viewers in a commencement speech, Baldwin joked, “To all of you watching at home tonight, or, more realistically, Monday morning on a computer….”
