TOP PICK:Modern Family‘ (9pm ET on ABC)

Funniest show on TV + Hawaii trip = must watch show of the night! The whole gang is in paradise after last week’s episode that took entirely at LAX, and Phil gets an eyeful of Gloria.

Jay could not be more excited to do nothing but indulge and relax in this tropical paradise, but then an unexpected reality check dampens his plans. Meanwhile, Phil is determined to make this trip romantic for Claire, Mitchell and Cameron have opposing views on whether to sightsee or not to sightsee, and the kids get into a little bit of mischief when left to their own devices.

KEY EPISODE:America’s Next Top Model‘ (8pm ET on The CW)

You better work! Tyra and her minions are picking the diva with the most attitude tonight, and our money is on Miss Krista to take the grand prize.

Miss J drops in the on the final two to reveal the set-up for their CoverGirl commercial. Tyra reveals that the finalists will join her in a family portrait with some very special guests. The ladies must put their best happy foot forward during a rock-and-roll circus-inspired final runway for designer Anna Sui. One girl will be crowned America’s Next Top Model.

WATCH:Top Chef Masters‘ (10pm on Bravo)

As long as the producers keep bringing on talent from some of my favorite shows to guest judge, (‘The Simpsons’ this week, ‘Modern Family’ last week) I won’t call them gimmicks. In the meantime, more Gail please!

On this week’s episode, Springfield comes alive as Hank Azaria, Matt Groening, and Matt Selman – the voices and writers behind the critically acclaimed series, ‘The Simpsons’ – drop by to judge the quickfire challenge based on their character’s appetites. In the elimination round, the seven remaining chefs must combine exotic, and often unappetizing proteins in an appealing surf-and-turf inspired duo.

DVR:Cougar Town‘ (9:30pm ET on ABC)

‘Modern Family’ gets all the (well-deserved) hype, but this fellow first-year comedy delivers almost as many consistent laughs week-to-week. Courteney Cox is back on TV (thank God) and Bill Lawrence (of ‘Scrubs’ fame) is doing what he does best – serving up the awkward and offbeat funny.

Jules encourages Travis to submit a graduation speech. Despite Grayson’s warning, a curious Jules reads the speech without permission and is left crushed when she finds she’s not been acknowledged. Meanwhile, Ellie uncharacteristically does something nice for Laurie, and Bobby tries to restrain himself from embarrassing Travis on his big day.

DVR:American Idol‘ (9pm ET on Fox)

With ratings at a nadir, what can be done to shake up this once formidable juggernaut? Probably not much this season, and if anyone but Crystal ends up winning, it will be even more proof that the show has gone off the rails. Just please, less Seacrest. PLEASE!

The four remaining finalists find out who is safe and who will be sent home during the “1 of 4 Voted Off” episode.
