Wanna know what’s coming up on your favorite show? Tuesday is tease-day at Fancast, and MattMtvguy@gmail.com is the place to send your questions. Here now the scoop!
Are there any good “Huddy” scenes in the ‘House‘ season finale (airing May 17)? please tell me that House and Cuddy have at least one scene together. – LoveCuddy via Twitter
Yes, they have at least one scene together. Oh, and by the way, they have several scenes together. Several meaty scenes.
I’m really scared to watch the ‘House‘ finale. How much will the Huddy fans be hurt? – ally316 via Twitter
Beware the intense, two-minute long conversation that comes midway through the episode! Ouch. But mind you, the screener I was sent did not include the very final scene, which by my best guess must run at least 45 seconds long. Who knows what could go down there.
Is Cameron in the ‘House‘ season finale? – RyanPaulAddison via Twitter
I don’t think it’s spoiling anything to confirm that no, she is not.
What’s your take on ‘House‘ finale?! – icegirl955 via Twitter
My take: It’s pretty outstanding, especially if you go into it expecting a House-centric hour featuring an utterly aces performance by Mr. Hugh Laurie. That said, I myself honestly would have liked to see a bit more of the team. But that’s just me.
Did your talk with Michael Weatherly include any good scoop on the ‘NCIS‘ finale (airing May 25)? – JumpingJackie via Twitter
But of course! “The season finale is very Gibbs-centric,” Weatherly said, noting that the heart of the drama “was set in motion back before Christmas.” Pressed for more intel, he said, “Can I use the word ‘devastating’? And can I also say that you want to make sure you don’t miss the last 30 seconds?” As if we’d miss the last 30 seconds.
Do you have any ‘NCIS: LA‘ info, specifically about Kensi (Daniela Ruah)? – Lori
As a matter of fact, the May 18 episode will shed some light on Ms. Blye’s love life – rather woeful it is – when she opens up to Sam at a bar.
Do you know what is in the ‘Bones‘ season finale that is so exceptional and has everyone saying it will be rich with emotions? (Personally I am not a shipper, so an enormous cliffhanger would please me a lot!) – leelee
I know specifically what’s at stake, but must defer to exec producer Stephen Nathan to speak of it in more vague terms. He says the nature of the May 20 finale is such that “it allowed us to take the show in a completely different direction for the last four episodes and end the season in a very surprising way. We’re not retreading old ground, which is a very difficult thing to do when you have a show with this ‘Will they, won’t they’ dynamic. You really want to do something that breaks that mold.” And yes, that “something” involves one nifty cliffhanger.
Thanks for the story on all the possible ‘CSI‘ changes. I just hope that Jorja Fox sticks around, if only so we can get the full story on why Sara suddenly returned to the team. – Craig
Stay tuned, because “all questions re: Sara Sidle will be answered,” series creator Anthony Zuiker said in a recent Variety chat.
I’m pretty excited for USA Network’s ‘Covert Affairs.’ What’s the good word? – Bob
The word is the spy series (starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham) looks like a lot of fun and should complement the USA slate nicely. Add to that the fact that Emmanuelle Vaugier (‘CSI: NY’) has been cast in a recurring role, while Oded Fehr (‘Sleeper Cell’) is set to guest star on the July 13 premiere, and I smell win-win-win.
When does ‘Drop Dead Diva‘ return? And got any scoop? – Ellie
The Lifetime series weighs in with its second season on June 6, and here’s a scooplet: ‘24′/’Jericho’ alum Sprague Grayden will guest-star in the July 25 episode, playing a woman fighting her hubby for custody of their… pet chimp. Well, that’s just bananas.
What ‘Bones’ reference was made in ‘Community‘s paintball episode? – GiantAsianMan via Twitter
I was of the opinion that the exceptional outing not only put the ‘Glee’ kids in its crosshairs, but also took a shot at Booth and Brennan when Jeff and Britta joked about “Unresolved sexual tension…. Dam… bursting!” But a source at NBC assures me that no slight against ‘Community’s time slot rival was intended, especially since that episode was shot before the ‘Bones’ 100th episode and its “dam breaking” theme aired.
Can you give us anything good about the cliffhanger involving Clark and Lois in Friday’s ‘Smallville‘ finale? – blackdashund via Twitter
Sources tell me exclusively that it is likely to hit your screen on or around 8:57pm EST – give or take one minute. (Hmm, I’m going to have to atone for that smart mouth later, won’t I?)
Got any scoop on ‘Parenthood‘? – Dawn
This Tuesday Joel gets a taste of his own medicine when Julia’s old flame, Tim, comes riding to Zeek’s financial rescue. Says Erika Christensen, “That’s all it is for Julia” – a business arrangement – “but Tim is essentially the male counterpart to Raquel, so Joel sees what’s it’s like to have someone interfering with your relationship.” Might Tim pick up on mixed signals and make a move on Julia? Well, not quite, says Erika, “but he does make things rather uncomfortable.”
I was wondering when the networks will announce their fall line ups? It is killing me waiting, with a bunch of my favorite shows hanging in the balance. – Kerry Anne
Bits and pieces are leaking out – NBC thus far has picked up four new shows – but the real fun starts Sunday, when the Peacock unfurls its entire plan. Fox follows on May 17, then ABC (May 18), CBS and TNT/TBS (May 19) and finally The CW (May 20). Follow me here and on Twitter for all the breaking news!
Have I mentioned lately that MattMtvguy is the best? Because he is. – SnapPop via Twitter
Aww, thanks! I need to hear that once in a while. But what, is the jury still out for Crackle?
Any news on a ‘Human Target‘ Season 2 pickup? I’d so love for that to happen. – PattiD41 via Twitter
As would I. But I’d also like to see ‘Lie to Me‘ continue on. And that’s the dilemma Fox is facing. It appears that only one of the two will survive, and ‘Lie To Me’ has in its favor 1) a presumably smaller budget and 2) it’s produced in-house by Fox, EW notes. One scenario has Fox waiting to see how ‘Lie To Me’ does when it returns on June 7.
Is ‘Memphis Beat‘ worth watching? – cautionwriter via Twitter
Ask me again next week, when I’ve recovered from my night terrors about Abraham Benrubi’s new hairstyle. Shudder.
