Craig Kilborn to Return with New Syndicated Show

Former ‘Daily Show’ and ‘Late, Late Show’ host Craig Kilborn is looking to make a return to television. [crickets?]
According to the Los Angeles Times, Kilborn is staging a comeback with a new syndicated series.
Kilborn, 47, will host a syndicated ‘early evening’ talk show that will be tested this summer on Fox affiliates in major markets, including New York and L.A.
The New York Times claims the prospective new show is described “as a combination of a talk show with a “nonpolitical ‘Daily Show.’”
Jon Stewart rules so brilliantly over ‘The Daily Show‘ these days, but for those who don’t remember, Kilborn was the original host of the Comedy Central series for three years.

By my unofficial count, Kilborn’s last real job was back in 2004. He left his gig as late night host of CBS’ ‘The Late, Late Show,’ and was later replaced with another Craig, Craig Ferguson.
