The critics loved ‘Justified,’ FX’s moody Western starring Timothy Olyphant. A “new instant classic,” gushed TV Guide. “One of the best new shows of the year,” said Entertainment Weekly. It’s ‘also, as you’d expect from Elmore Leonard (and writer Graham Yost, formerly of ‘Boomtown‘), a funny show, with taut dialogue and a distinct sense of place,” wrote TIME magazine. In addition to the critics, and more importantly, the network liked the show, too. Today, FX announced it has picked up the series for a second season, ordering 13 episodes, which should please the nearly 3.5 million viewers who have watched each week. ““I’m just thrilled, and I’m looking forward to chronicling the future adventures of Raylan Givens,” said Yost, who developed the series from the Leonard short story, Fire in the Hole. “To work with an actor like Tim, who was born to play this role, has been a wonderful experience.” Six all new episodes remain in season one, airing Tuesdays at 10 PM ET/PT, with the first season finale airing on June 8th.
