NCIS‘ fans should be feeling 25 percent less anxiety this morning, now that one of the four series regulars who were not signed for next season – David McCallum – has inked a new deal.

“He’s signed on for additional seasons,” the onetime ‘Invisible Man’s manager tells TVGuideMagazine.com. “He’s excited to be coming back.”

Of those locked in for Season 8 (or beyond) of the CBS hit, McCallum joins ‘NCIS’ lead Mark Harmon, Rocky Carroll (who plays Vance) and Cote de Pablo (Ziva).

That leaves a trio of fan faves in limbo. Michael Weatherly (Tony), Sean Murray (McGee) and Pauley Perrette (Abby) each are still in talks to continue on with TV’s most-watched scripted series. As reported by Deadline.com, CBS had approached the unsigned ‘NCIS’ stars with “pretty low-ball offers,” leading to a bit of a stalemate in their respective renegotiations.
