Tony Dovolani hasn’t been shedding tears for his departed ‘Dancing With the Stars‘ partner, Kate Gosselin. Our ABC insider tells Fancast that Tony is living it up back onset with all his friends, free of Kate’s schedule and poor dancing.
“He was so frustrated dancing with Kate, but he did his best to create choreography that she could tackle each week. Once they were voted off, Tony immediately told producers that he was ready to dance for the show in any capacity for the remainder of the season. He was desperate to get back on the dance floor and do his choreography with a partner that could really dance.”
Tony did his first performance sans Kate, while Melissa Etheridge performed this week and he’ll be back again throughout the season. ”Tony will be on the rest of the season and he will be a featured dancer. He is on set with the other dancers and stars and he is choreographing difficult routines. They guys are joking around, Tony is laughing all the time. He’s always got a grin on his face these days! The camaraderie he enjoys so much with everyone is back – dancing with Kate was stressful. Her schedule made it hard for him to relax and he had trouble getting her to understand why he loves dancing the show so much.”
Now that the dancing duo has split Tony is free to dance another day with an entirely new star next season. ”It was almost like a break-up with Kate. He had to jump right back into dancing to prove to himself that he hadn’t lost it. Tony has his dancing mojo back! Tony will be back with a new partner and a fresh start next season. He’s dancing Kate away. He respects her as a mother and knows how hard it was to tackle the show. He’s accepted that they did their best and now he’s having fun again.”
