Charisma Carpenter brings the 'Sassy' to the BFDL.

Buffy‘verse alum Charisma Carpenter, former ‘CHiPs’ patrolman Erik Estrada and TV’s ‘Incredible Hulk,’ Lou Ferrigno, have formed a most unlikely alliance as part of a new Butterfinger ad campaign.

Each bringing to the table their distinct style of kick-ass, the trio comprise the BFDL – Butterfinger Defense League – and in that capacity make their debut in a Sir Mix-A-Lot remix of “Baby Got Back.”

This time, however, the tune boasts the refrain “I like big Butterfingers,” as Charisma & Co. boogie along.

The BFDL ostensibly was formed in the wake of a rash of Butterfinger thefts. Carpenter’s past TV roles have proven her to be a formidable foe for the supernatural, while Ferrigno is fancied a threat to evil masterminds and Estrada is… no friend of tight polyester.

For her second-ever music video appearance, Carpenter tells Fancast the secret is to “have fun. Dance. Work it out. I wanted to do more dancing, in fact!”

In addition to appearances in New York City this week, Carpenter, Estrada and Ferrigno will bring the BFDL to the San Diego Comic-Con this summer.

Coming up, Carpenter can be seen on the big screen in ‘The Expendables,’ an otherwise testosterone-filled action pic starring Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham (opening August 20). Come Halloween, she stars in the psychological thriller ‘Psychosis’ (watch trailer here).
