Fox’s ‘The Simpsons‘ hopes that Martha Stewart plus Christmas adds up to “a good thing,” and has signed the lifestyle doyenne to voice a cartoon version of herself.

In the Yuletide-themed outing, “Marge Simpson receives a nighttime visit from the most powerful force in the universe who teaches her the true meaning of Christmas: Martha Stewart,” executive producer Al Jean tells EW.com.

“The Fight Before Christmas,” penned by veteran ‘Simpsons’ voice Dan Castellaneta (aka Homer) and his wife, Deb Lacusta, will air this December.

Long before then, ‘Simpsons’ viewers will set their eyes on the Fox ‘toon’s take on ‘American Idol’s Simon, Randy, Ellen, Kara and Ryan, when barkeep Moe gets invited to assist the reality competition’s judges. A first look at the ‘Simpsons’-ized ‘Idol’ quintet, featured in the May 23rd season finale, can be found here at People.com.
