Turns out country superstar Shania Twain is not so private all. The ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ singer is set to star in a one-hour reality series ‘Why Not? with Shania Twain’ for OWN (The Oprah Winfrey network).

The show will chronicle Twain’s adventures as she moves on after splitting from her music producer husband Robert Lange after 14 years of marriage.

“The show will follow [Twain] as she begins her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures,” says a statement from the network.

Twain, 44, was thrown for a loop in 2008 when she (as well as millions of others courtesy of the tabloids) discovered her husband was having an affair with her close friend and employee Marie-Anne Thiebaud.

In recent months the singer has posted personal videos on her website of her visiting a radio station, riding a camel in Egypt, opening up about her junk food cravings and her budding romance with boyfriend Frederic, Thiebaud’s ex-husband.

Winfrey announced Thursday that she will be doing a prime-time program for her new channel starting late next year. Oprah Winfrey’s network launches on January 1, beaming into 80 million homes.
