Fox is planning a week of music-themed episodes of many of its shows, including a ‘House‘ outing that cues up Gladys Knight & The Pips.

From Thursday, April 29 through Wednesday, May 5, ‘Bones,’ ‘Fringe,’ ‘House,’ ‘Glee,’ ‘The Simpsons,’ ‘The Cleveland Show, ‘Family Guy’ and ‘The Wanda Sykes Show’ each will deliver music-themed nights as part of the ‘Fox Rocks’ event.

To hear Fox tell it, one highlight of the week is a music-video opening to its coverage of NASCAR’s Richmond 500 on Saturday, May 1, featuring Kanye West and Olivia Newton-John and some Fox characters. Also, ‘Family Guy’ marks 150 episodes on May 2 with an extended entry featuring fan-favorite and never-before-seen musical performances.

But for our money, the buzzworthier must-sees come from ‘House,’ ‘Bones’ and ‘Fringe.’

‘Bones’ gets the party started on April 29, with the crime-solving duo visiting a rock-and-roll fantasy camp. There, Booth (David Boreanaz) grooves on a guitar and later does a duet with Brennan (Emily Deschanel).

That same night, ‘Fringe’ cues up a special hour in which Walter (John Noble) regales Olivia’s niece with a fairy tale that includes musical performances Anna Torv (Olivia) and Lance Reddick (Broyles).

On Friday, April 30, ‘House’ will repeat the two-hour season premiere in which Hugh Laurie tickled the ivories as a psych hospital patient. Then on Monday, May 3, a new episode finds House, Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Foreman (Omar Epps) performing a Gladys Knight & The Pips classic at a karaoke bar. Whaddya think: “Midnight Train to Georgia”? Or too expected?

Then, of course, there is the always-musical ‘Glee.’ During the Fox Rocks week, its May 4th episode features Olivia Newton-John performing “Let’s Get Physical” with Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester.
