Movie megastar Matt Damon will squeeze himself onto the smaller screen, as a guest star on NBC’s ‘30 Rock.’

Damon will likely appear towards the very end of this season, says EW.com.

The star of the ‘Bourne’ and ‘Ocean’s’ movies has been on ’30 Rock’ boss Tina Fey‘s stunt-casting wish list for some time. When EW informed Damon of that back in December, he responded, “I would do ['30 Rock'] in a heartbeat if they asked me…. [My wife and I] love that show, so if [Tina] has a part for me, I’m game.”

A Wish List Of ‘30 Rock’ Guest Stars

Details on Damon’s role have not been disclosed, but the early speculation from fans is that he would be perfect as “astronaut Mike Dexter” aka unlucky-in-love Liz Lemon’s imaginary husband. E! Online’s Kristin, meanwhile, hears that Damon will be playing some sort of love interest for Liz.

Our wish: that Damon plays himself, as the star of the eco-conscious action sequel ‘The Greenzo Zone.’

With his ’30 Rock’ drop-by, Damon joins the ranks of other “name” guest stars such as Julianne Moore, Oprah Winfrey and Al Gore.
