Has the Fresh Prince turned the set of TNT’s ‘HawthoRNe‘ sour?

A source tells the New York Daily News that with the onetime Man in Black between movie gigs, Smith has been spending much – read: too much – time on the set of ‘HawthoRNe,’ where his wife Jada Pinkett Smith stars as a feisty nurse. As a result, Will, a coproducer on the series, is stymieing production with extensive script notes and other suggestions.

“He is not currently shooting a movie, so he’s been a constant on the set,” a TNT insider tells the tab. “He’s been inserting his input and requesting so many changes to the script that it pushed back the production schedule tremendously and caused everything to spiral out of control.”

Smith supposedly caused such a commotion that cast and crew were recently treated to an unplanned, eight-day hiatus, imposed by the network while the issue was sorted out.

A spokesperson for TNT had “no comment” on the Daily News‘ report, while Will’s publicist called the story “untrue.”

Smith is said to be mulling his next big-screen gig, choosing between ‘Men in Black III’ and the fantasy-adventure “The City That Sailed.”

Whatever the case, the News‘ snitch says, “Everyone is praying for him to book a new movie so that he will go away.”
