Jennifer Love Hewitt is hair, there and everywhere these days – somewhat coincidentally as she makes the rounds promoting her new book, ‘The Day I Shot Cupid.’

Love last week got heads turning and tongues wagging when she debuted a new, shorter ‘do. Many speculated that she had “Cut That Man Right Out of Her Hair” (as one website put it) in the wake of her breakup with ‘Ghost Whisperer’ costar Jamie Kennedy.

The actress/authoress, though, insisted to People.com, “It’s not about that. It’s just a ‘I-need-a-change’ haircut! It was really just for me.”

Not one to be defined by her locks or lovers, Love also is making headlines with a pair of new TV projects.

For one, Love has booked a Lifetime movie in which she plays a mother of three whose home is threatened with foreclosure after her husband is sidelined by an injury. To make ends meet, she goes to work at a massage parlor, where she soon realizes the clientele expects more “relief” than she may be willing to offer.

Tentatively titled ‘The List,’ the original movie shoots this spring to premiere later this year, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Love also will be making a cameo as herself in the pilot for NBC’s ‘Love Bites’ sitcom.
