On Demand: Twilight: New Moon, The Blind Side, Brothers, Mr. Fox

This weekend, The Twilight Saga: New Moon premiered on Comcast On Demand, and today three more high-profile films join the menu. There’s Sandra Bullock’s Oscar-winning performance in The Blind Side, as well as the stateside military drama Brothers and the Oscar-nominated animated film The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Take a closer look below.


The Twilight Saga: New Moon
The love triangle between obsessive teen Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), brooding vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and stalwart wolfboy Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) comes into full focus, as Edward tries to leave Bella in order to ensure her safety, which only sends her into a downward spiral of despair and recklessness, until her best friend Jacob manages to reach her and pull her out of her depression… but can either of them trust Jacob’s wolfpack brethren? And what of the nasty Victoria, the vampire who still wants Bella dead?

The Blind Side
Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for this moving true story about the Tuohys, a football-obsessed white Memphis family who come across a quiet, shy and homeless black teenager named Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) and, out of the goodness of their hearts, invite him into their home and eventually even into their family. Also starring Tim McGraw as her husband and Kathy Bates as the tutor who helps him learn how to learn.

Brothers
This remake of a Danish film finds Tobey Maguire as Sam Cahill, a Marine in his fourth tour of duty in Afghanistan whose chopper is shot down in the mountains, leaving his wife Grace (Natalie Portman) to believe he’s dead. When Sam’s washout brother Tommy (Jake Gyllenhaal) steps up to take his place to help support his family, he finds himself growing closer to Grace, which brings everything to a head when Sam turns up alive with post traumatic stress disorder.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox
This adaptation of a Roald Dahl children’s book by director Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums) features George Clooney and Meryl Streep voicing a married fox couple living a peaceful, civilized life. After a visit from their nephew (Jason Schwartzman), Mr. Fox starts to revert back to his reckless days of skullduggery as a chicken thief, threatening the safety of his animal community.
