Kirstie Alley appeared on ‘The Today Show‘ Tuesday to promote her new reality show for A&E, ‘Kirstie Alley’s Big Life,’ and to discuss her new secrets in battling the bulge.

Alley, who famously lost 75 pounds with Jenny Craig, has started her own weight-loss program called Organic Liaison, and rumors have been swirling that it’s somehow a “front” for Scientology. Things got heated when co-host Meredith Vieira asked the devout Scientologist if her new “diet” was somehow connected to her religion.

“That’s bullsh…,” Kirstie said before Vieira cut her off, reminding her dirty language was a no-no on TV.

Showbiz411′s Roger Friedman points out that two of the top people in charge of Organic Liaison are high up the Scientology food chain and the address for the company is in fact the address of The World Institute of Scientology in Florida.

But despite these facts, Kirstie vehemently denied any connection between Scientology and Organic Liaison. “It’s not true. It’s not true,” Alley told Vieira. “I’m the top executive. The address in Clearwater is my accountant, and he’s a Scientology Jew.”

The ‘Fat Actress‘ star reportedly donated $5 million to her religion two years ago. So Vieira asked if maybe Scientology will reap some of the profits of her new endeavor. “No,” she said. “I’m way too cheap to do that.”

And according to Alley, the profits should be flooding in since the program is fool-proof. The site claims: “Organic Liaison is a calorie-based weight loss program … A weight loss of 2-3 pounds/week is expected as an average.”

Kirstie said she’s already lost 20 pounds and one of her friends has lost 55. But the question still remains: How much will Scientology gain?

Always one for a fiery Tweet, Alley took to Twitter soonn after the show, announcing her displeasure:

“Just experienced the meaning of BLINDSIDED…..delivered with a smile….”, Alley wrote. “Shame on you Today Show…Shame on you.”
