The CW’s ‘High Society’ has been described as “‘Jersey Shore‘ with money” – but the two reality series may have more in common than that.

‘High Society’s queen bee, New York City socialite Tinsley Mortimer, recently crossed paths with Snooki and the gang while recording voiceovers for her soon-to-debut show. Though one would be inclined to think that the uptown girl would want nothing to do with the MTV series’ self-described guidos and “guidettes,” the run-in actually turned Mortimer into “a giddy schoolgirl,” she tells the New York Times.

“I’m like, ‘Oh my God, it’s The Situation,’” Mortimer said, referring to the abs-olutely hunky Mike Sorrentino. “‘Oh my God, can I get a picture?’ I was so happy.”

Explaining her draw to Snooki, J-Woww and the other ‘Jersey Shore’ beach bums, Mortimer said, “I think they’re cute.”

To hear Mortimer tell it, the drama she endures on The CW’s ‘High Society‘ will rival that of her working-class MTV counterparts.

“I think people want to believe that I have a perfect life, so ‘Let’s take her down.’ [But] my life is so not perfect. Not at all…. Not that you want to expose that, but you want people to know that.”

‘High Society’ premieres Wednesday, March 10, at 9:30/8:30c.
