Love it or hate it, ‘South Park‘ returns for a 14th season this month. And just because the kids are maturing into adolescence, don’t expect them to grow up any time soon.

On Wednesday, March 17th, the premiere of a seven-episode run kicks off at 10 p.m. on Comedy Central. By the April 14th installment, the series reaches a rare milestone for cable TV – a 200th episode.

But in true ‘South Park’ fashion, the gang has caused controversy even in the off-season.

Last month, as previously reported, MTV Mexico halted the airing of the Season 13 ‘Pinewood Derby’ episode because it depicted the Mexican flag and President Felipe Calderon in the storyline. Unflattering or not, it’s a crime to use those images without permission in Mexico and violators face stiff fines. MTV was eventually granted permission and the episode will air in April.

And, if last season is any indication, ‘South Park’ aims to keep the trouble brewing. After being haunted by Michael Jackson, taking back their town from bikers, and saving the whales from Japanese trawlers, the sky’s the limit for lampooning just about any issue co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone feel like.

Raise a toast to the return of ‘South Park’ beginning on St. Patrick’s Day.
