It may be one of the top-rated sitcoms on television, but the behind-the-scenes drama on ‘Two and a Half Men‘ is no joke.

And Charlie Sheen isn’t the only one taking hits. His co-star Jon Cryer is dealing with an actual hit man.

The actor is embroiled in a frightening, noirish real-life drama with his estranged ex-wife Sarah Trigger, who has been accused of putting out a hit on the TV star.

And now there’s reportedly a connection to a Mexican drug cartel.

It seems Cryer’s ex is becoming an ex again, as she’s in the midst of a divorce from a man named David Dickey, who confirms the alleged hit-man plot in divorce documents. He alleges Trigger wanted to pull the trigger on both of her ex-husbands. She’s currently being investigated by the FBI for making death threats.

New details have surfaced that allege Trigger asked a man named Eddie Sanchez to make the killings. Sanchez, who is linked to a Mexican drug smuggling ring, met Trigger while he was a contractor working on a house she shared with Dickey, and the two reportedly began dating.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Trigger told Dickey at one point, “Eddie used to run drugs that were smuggled from the border to Mexican gangs, which is how he bought his house in Mexico.”

Trigger denies she ever put a hit out on either of her estranged husbands.

The alleged death threats came to light in mid-January, when a disturbance was reported on the set of ‘Two Men,’ forcing the show to shut down production.

The CBS sitcom is once again on an unplanned break while Sheen takes a time-out in rehab, leaving the future of the troubled series in question.
