Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! … Or is it Jan?

Fans of ‘The Brady Bunch’ grew accustomed to the occasional squabble between TV sisters Marcia and Jan, but it seems the sisterly feuding continues off-screen between actresses Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb. In fact, tensions are so high that a ‘Brady’ reunion show set to tape this week was called off after McCormick and Plumb learned they were scheduled to appear together, along with the rest of the ‘Brady’ cast.

Sources tell Radar Online: “Everyone tells a slightly different story of what happened. But the bottom line is that they didn’t want to be on the same show and the appearance was canceled because of it.”

Although it remains unclear who pulled the plug on the reunion, McCormick stated in a Fancast blog from July ’09 that Plumb was upset with her for insinuating the two had a lesbian love affair, which she downplays as simply an attempt at humor gone wrong. Plumb allegedly believes McCormick was lying about the affair to get publicity for her biography ‘Here’s the Story.’

McCormick insists that she and Plumb “were best friends from the start,” and that she has attempted to contact Plumb to bury the hatchet but has not heard back from her. A source for Radar Online counters, “The problems between them go back decades. They’ve never liked each other.”

Although the two stars are not speaking, McCormick maintains that she shares a close, family-like relationship with the rest of her ‘Brady’ castmates. It has been years since the co-stars have reunited and it seems, with this latest feud, as if there might never be an ending to the sibling rivalry between Marcia and Jan.
