Just as the disgraced Tiger Woods prepares to address the public in a Friday press non-conference, Spike TV has greenlit a pilot about a pro golfer and his sex-crazed caddy… who happens to be named Tiger.

‘Back Nine’ stars ‘Dukes of Hazzard‘ alum John Schneider as Ronnie Barnes, a former U.S. Open champion, says the Hollywood Reporter. Now washed up and awash in boozy exploits, Barnes hits local tournaments in hopes of once again qualifying for the PGA Tour.

As he tours the country, Barnes is accompanied by his longtime caddy, Tiger. Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (‘Joey‘) is in talks to play the randy club handler.

Lest anyone think that Spike TV is wholly capitalizing on Woods’ infamy, the Reporter notes that the ‘Back Nine’ concept – womanizing Tiger and all – was on the cabler’s radar at least a year prior to the real-life golf great’s November car crash and adultery-revealing aftermath.
