ABC’s ‘Brothers & Sisters‘ apparently has joined ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in picking up the flashback mantle from ‘Lost,’ and is cueing up a blast from its own past. Thus, the family sudser has cast younger versions of every Walker.
In a pair of episodes set alternately in 1973 (aka the early years of the Walker marriage) and 1986, Daniel Cosgrove (‘Dirty Sexy Money’) will play family patriarch William (aka the Tom Skerritt role), while Lauren Bittner (‘The Black Donnellys’) hopes you like her, really like her as Nora.
As for the kiddies, Cody Longo (‘Make It Or Break It’) will play Tommy (teen dream Joe Jonas came thisclose to landing the gig, but bowed out due to scheduling conflicts), newcomer Anna Wood is Sarah, Kasey Campbell (‘Weeds’) is Kevin, and Kay Panabaker (‘Fame’) is Kitty.
“Baby”-of-the-family Justin is a wee 4-year-old in the ’80s flashback, while Uncle Saul will not be featured.
The purpose of the flashbacks is to give ‘Brothers & Sisters’ fans a first-hand look at Nora and William’s marriage and the latter’s early extramarital leanings, and detail the origin – and a perhaps hidden significance – of the family’s Ojai Foods biz.
