Tyra Banks has found a fashionable replacement for J. Alexander.

Vogue’s editor-at-large André Leon Talley will be a judge on cycle 4 of ‘America’s Next Top Model.’

The fashion guru was originally reluctant to appear on the reality show, and said no when Tyra Banks approached him when the series first began. “At that point, I said no because it was the beginning. I was thinking I wanted to see where it goes,” he said, adding that he has never seen the show.

He admits he’s seen the light, however, and that light goes by one fierce name. “I felt maybe I could contribute something to it that had not been on the show,” he says. “I just felt that it was a way to step out of the box and associate myself with a very important American success story, a very important brand — Tyra Banks.”

Banks herself is thrilled at the new high fashion addition. “André speaks about fashion and he has such a passion, and the words — the adverbs, the adjectives — he uses!” she says. “I know it’s going to make the viewer at home go, ‘Wowww.’ It might go over their head, but he’s educating them about a time, bringing them back to a place when fashion was life.”

J. Alexander will head back to coaching the competing beauties.

The 14th cycle of ‘ANTM’ premieres March 10 on the CW.

Banks also recently launched her own plus sized teen model search on ‘The Tyra Banks Show.’ Watch the clip for more info.
