It looks like Jon Gosselin is being backed into a corner over his lawsuit with TLC. Facing down the prospect of an expensive trial, the reality TV dad may be trying to negotiate with the network, and he’s allegedly using eight little secret weapons to do it: the kids.

According to RadarOnline, a desperate Jon Gosselin will reportedly allow TLC to resume filming the children–if the network drops its breach-of-contract lawsuit against him.

Does that mean he’s changed his mind about his claim that participation in ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8‘ is harmful to his children?

Gosselin stopped the cameras from rolling last fall, citing a suddenly guilty conscience over his children’s “exploitation.” The move was considered by most observers as a ploy.

Now the troubled TV star claims to be in “financial ruin” ever since TLC legally enforced measures to prevent him from making publicity appearances or earning income in connection with his now-defunct reality show.

Is TLC biting? The network has not commented on the story, but according to at least one network insider, “You can be sure that if the kids come back to TLC, it will be only with Kate, not with Jon. And there’s no guarantee that will happen either.”

We’ll see. Gosselin’s ever-boastful attorney Mark Heller declares, “You haven’t seen the last of Jon Gosselin.”
