Jillian Harris is doing an extreme makeover.
A home makeover, that is.
Harris tells People that she is “thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing team,” adding, “I really feel like the world needs a lot of love right now and to be a part of this and see others give their time and love so generously, it is truly inspiring.”
The reality star will travel to Slaughterville, Okla., to rebuild the home belonging to Brian and Audra Skaggs, whose two-year-old son Jhett received a heart transplant and has a weakened immune system. The family’s home, which is moldy and deteriorated, is a threat to the child’s health.
“People know Jillian as a great personality, but they may not realize that she’s an incredible designer, too,” says ‘Extreme Makeover’ executive producer Anthony Dominici.
Harris got engaged to Ed Swiderski on ‘The Bachelorette’ season finale last year. They currently live together in Chicago, where she designs her own furniture line and is currently writing a book.
The Jillian Harris ‘Makeover’ episode will air later this season, but an airdate has yet to be announced.
‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
