TNT, the home of such hits as ‘The Closer‘ and ‘Leverage,’ has picked up three new series – each fronted by a familiar face.

From producer Steven Spielberg comes a yet-to-be-titled drama about the aftermath of an alien invasion. ‘ER‘ alum Noah Wyle stars as the leader of a human resistance effort. Moon Bloodgood (‘Day Break‘) costars, effectively offsetting any and all extraterrestrial ugliness.

Next there is ‘Delta Blues,’ produced by George Clooney and starring Jason Lee (‘My Name Is Earl‘) as a Memphis cop who lives with his momma and moonlights as a “tribute singer,” covering Elvis among others. The ensemble includes Alfre Woodard, Abraham Benrubi (‘ER’) and DJ Qualls (‘Road Trip‘).

Lastly, we have ‘Rizzoli & Isles,’ which is adapted from Tess Gerritsen’s mystery novel series and stars Angie Harmon (‘Law & Order‘) and Sasha Alexander (‘NCIS‘) as a crime-solving Boston police detective and medical examiner.

‘Delta Blues’ and ‘Rizzoli’ are expected to premiere later this year, while the special effects-heavy Spielberg drama won’t arrive until 2011.
