Get ready for another year full of fist pumping.

Jersey Shore‘ is coming back for a second season on MTV, according to a cast member, reports The New York Daily News.

One of the stars of the show, Vinny Guadagnino, told a group of fans that the series was picked up for additional episodes. “They want us to do another season,” he said at a ‘Youth in Revolt’ after-party at La Pomme in New York.

There was speculation that the network would bring in new blood and hire a new cast of Italian-American party animals – but it appears the original kids are just too darn lovable (i.e., outrageous) to let go.

In other hair-gel-related news, Snooki guest starred as a weather girl at New York City’s WPIX morning show this week. After her forecast, she let her hair down and showed the anchors how she managed to keep her trademark hair poof up without any help. “Look, no Bumpit!” she said.

Meanwhile, another weekend down the shore turned into another fight night for one of the self-proclaimed “guidos” in this week’s episode.

Ronnie Magro got into a wild fight at a bar in Seaside Heights and was arrested for aggravated assault.
