Family Guy

The second DVD premiere feature (after the immensely popular ‘Blue Harvest’) from the creators of ‘Family Guy,’ ‘Something, Something, Something Dark Side,’ has the Griffin clan packing light saber sharp wit as they parody the classic sequel ‘The Empire Strikes Back.’ Luke (Chris), Leia (Lois), Han Solo (Peter) and Chewbacca (Brian) have evaded the dreaded Imperial Starfleet led by the cunning, conniving and curiously short evil lord Darth Vader (Stewie), setting up a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. With the rebellion in trouble, young Skywalker must take the advice of his late, and rather lascivious, mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) and learn the ways of the “farce” under Jedi Master Yoda (Carl) to save the galaxy once and for all. Bonus features include commentary with deleted scenes, making-of featurettes, animatics and a pop-up video feature. Sweet! Buy the DVD right here.

The Tudors

Season 3 of ‘The Tudors‘ finds Henry married to Jane Seymour, who finally gives the monarch a son. Unfortunately, Jane’s reign as Queen of England is short-lived when she dies after childbirth. Thomas Cromwell then convinces Henry that a new marriage to the how shall we say, not so attractive, Anne of Cleaves would benefit the country. Henry reluctantly goes through with the marriage, but never consummates the wedding. He then gets entranced by the gorgeous Katherine of Howard. Kyle XY

Action, mystery and suspense reach an all-new level in the last and final season of ‘Kyle XY.’ Kyle (Matt Dallas) and Jessi (Jaimie Alexander) begin to work as a team and uncover the secrets of their origin. Kyle’s world is turned upside-down when his powers suddenly disappear, and he’s in for another surprise when Amanda comes home with an unexpected question. As one woman in Kyle’s life arrives, another must say goodbye – though Jessi assures him they will always be connected. Meanwhile, the prom is fast approaching, and Kyle wants his night with Amanda to be perfect. After a dance neither of them will ever forget, Kyle comes face-to-face with the ultimate mystery. Experience every twist and turn on three discs, including never-before-seen bonus features. Buy the final season right here.

Robot Chicken

In Season 4 of the cult classic ‘Robot Chicken,’ we find out that Tila Tequila is really a cyborg, PaRappa the Rapper is in court, a woman wanting her husband to role play being Jack Sparrow gets more than she bargained for, plus even a Yellow Submarine spoof. There’s also the usual skits involving Batman, Iron Man, G.I. Joe and more. Buy the Season 4 DVD right here.
