‘White Collar’ crime pays for USA Network, which has ordered a second season of its drama about an elite con man recruited to assist the Feds.
“[The] Season 2 pickup is official!” series creator Jeff Eastin announced on Twitter Friday night. “Congratulations to the best cast and crew on television.”
A USA rep confirmed the pickup, but had no details as to Season 2′s episode count or premiere date.
Fronted by Matt Bomer (playing career grifter Neal Caffrey) and Tim DeKay (as FBI agent Peter Burke), ‘White Collar’ delivered its biggest audience to date – 5.55 million viewers – with its fall finale, which aired after the ‘Monk’ series-ender.
That December 4 episode also served up a sizable twist, indicating that a major player may have a hidden agenda.
‘White Collar’ returns January 20 to wrap up its freshman run, which will now unspool on Tuesdays.
